My wife and I had an amazing stay at Harbourview and we would certainly recommend it. The accommodations are well-located (~15min drive from Georgetown) and have everything you need to be comfortable while still being reasonably priced and exactly as advertised. Don and Gail were excellent hosts, proactively giving us lots of useful advise (both before and during our stay) while also allowing us our space and privacy once we arrived. I would emphasize that the unit does not have a full kitchen (as clearly described in the listing) and there’s not too many nearby restaurants (especially for dinner) so make sure you make a gameplan for dinners in advance (Don & Gail could help I’m sure).
The unique aspect of your stay at Harbourview is the easy access to the amazing Moriah Harbour Cay and Man of War Cay, which are just a short kayak away from the accommodation (note: it’s about a 2 min walk to the kayak storage area then ~10-15 min paddle to the cays). The Moriah Harbour Cay is huge (>13k acres) and has the best beaches we have ever seen in our lives, bar none. They are almost surreal. And there are many of them, one after another. There doesn’t seem to be any easy public access so you’re more than likely to have the entire Cay (which is quite large) to yourself (it is a national park so there is no development on the Cay). You could (and should) definitely spend multiple days on the Cay and not get tired of it. One day we walked to the northernmost tip of the island which took about two hours but brought us to some spectacular beaches as well as some other very impressive sights (won’t spoil the surprises here) – would highly recommend spending some time on this or other hikes to explore the Cay (note: I would recommend bringing some watershoes or something similar for this hike since you need to walk over some jagged rocks). The accommodation has a nice deck with a very nice view of the Cay.
Overall, we were thrilled with our stay and would certainly recommend it.
Thanks Don & Gail!
