I will start off by saying that we had an amazing time. Don and Gail are wonderful hosts. They are very kind and sincere. The rental was very clean and had everything we needed. My only disappointment was that they are not right on the water and not on or near a beach to walk to.It is about a block walk to get to the area where you can launch the kayak, it is just a launch area. We paddled out to Moriah Cay, a beautiful little island that you can see in this picture. We spent a lot of time out there exploring and we also found the most amazing private beach on the other side of Moriah Cay which we did spend some time exploring and laying out on. You have to have a car if you plan on staying at this location if you want to see the other gorgeous beaches. My favorite beach was Hoopers Bay, then Coco plum and then Cancer of Tropics, Jolly Hall was nice to. If you go to Coco Plum, make sure to go an hour before low tide. You can walk out on the sandbars and find lots of shells and sand dollars. The beaches are VERY hard to find and sometimes no parking areas so ask before you go. We did the swimming with the pigs excursion with 4 Cs. It was a long excursion. The captain and first mate were not overly friendly, they did not play any music or mingle with the guests. They served water and soft drinks on the boat. We talked to another couple that did the tour with Coastline excursions the week before and she said it was super fun. She said Coastline was a little bit more cost wise but the crew was very entertaining and they served drinks, beer and snacks on the boat, played cool music. The first mate dove for conch and made fresh conch salad for everyone on a sand bar. If you do not mind having a beach to walk on and you are planning on renting a car then this home is perfect for 2 people only. It is in a remote area so walking any where is not an option. They have a convection hot plate which is great for making breakfast, a coffee maker that takes k-cups, a microwave and a toaster oven so there are a lot of things you can make. It is sad that the local bahamian people have no respect for their beautiful Island. The island is littered with trash, and not from tourists. For 2 people this home is lovely and has a beautiful view. If you are able to kayak and have a car then I would recommend this home. Be careful driving, they drive on the left side and the roads are VERY narrow with lots of BIG potholes.
